Previous Game History:
Upon arrival, Heiji was informed by Conan of "bending" a practice native to Nautilus, and that it was alternate reality though he did not buy into such a theory without any proper evidence to support it. Within his first month of being in Nautilius there was a reality storm (this game's event system) wherein he was changed into a talking cat. Under normal circumstances, Heiji would never believe people turning into animals/beasts, let alone a talking one. Unfortunately for him he wasn't able to disprove his high state of awareness as his week being a intelligent house pet.
During one of the Nautilus' parties that was held at the beach, the two detectives were playing their observation game where they guess a woman's bathing suit based on her appearance and physical expressions. He was greeted Aya who is a separate life form with green skin. While he could respect her intellect he was not fully convinced of her origin.
Two months into his arrival he continued his investigation around the town looking for anything that stood out that he could use to prove his theories on Nautilus being the opposite of what people were claiming. Essentially he was no more closer to "bending" than he was when he first arrived. During his investigation of one of the old buildings in the vicinity of the city, he encounter a person (friend, term meant loosely) he had met on more than one occasion. While ransacking some old drawers, and upon tossing a metal box the dusty residue caused a mild explosion and a fire to erupt in the abandon house with the other individual around. His friend saved him from falling debris, but was unfortunately harmed in the process with a broken leg. The fire blocked the exit in the room leaving them to use the window. The window wouldn't due to lack of use and dust build up, it was broken. The two were able to escape through the window but only after Heiji had broken through it with the help of an adrenaline rush and the need to preserve the other's life if not his own. His hand was considerably damaged in the process.
Later that same month another reality storm hit Nautilus which altered their state of mind. Heiji became obsessed with one of his greatest desires, which was essentially to be around and help Conan/Kudo. He had spent the entire week not only smothering him, but stalking and keeping tabs on him from a distance. When the storm drew to a close he was oblivious to what happened to the rest of the town. In search for answers he posted on the network to collect data from other residents who also suffered from the effects of the storm. He was able to determine that it affect them cognitively rather than physically unlike the first storm he experienced.
While there are some things he's determined to not believe, he can no longer deny everything as it is. He is now fully aware of unexplained happenings such as dis organized timelines and everyone's memories not matching up to the same time. As much as he wants to disbelieve his state as a cat he has somewhat come to terms that he wasn't in his normal state. And he has accepted that whenever a reality storm occurred something unexplainable (used loosely again) will occur.
Personality:
Heiji is some what of a typical high school student. Give or take a few of his unique quirks, for instance, he's more intelligent than most boys his age. He eidetic memory that allows him to have a library of trivial (and sometimes media based) knowledge. Anywhere from the process of decomposition, to facts about baseball are at his disposal.
Where most people find a corpse frightening and become squeamish, Heiji is first to jump to it and decipher the cause of death or if it's even dead. Mysteries fascinate him like kids to an interesting video game. If a case emanates you can bet Heiji will be there ready to solve it. He could be described to be impulsive and even a bit absent-minded at times. His father described Heiji as so: "He's like a kid runnin' on pure instinct."
Heiji lacks respect for higher authority. When his father (knowingly mind you) punched Heiji to the ground, he belittled him and told him to go home because this case wasn't his business. Instead Heiji rebelled and continued working on it despite his father's action. He also has a knack for calling his mom old woman, and he doesn't even properly address Mouri with an honorific which is considered rude in Japanese culture.
Additionally, and unlike Kudo, Heiji is more hot-blooded. He's quick to lose his temper, patience, or otherwise become agitated. While he can keep his composure most of the time, it's still reveals itself enough to be notable. Hakuba actually berated Heiji for his imprudence regarding a crime scene about how he disrupted the crime scene. However, this did not fully compromise the deduction as he was still able to figure out the killer. The culprit herself complimented on him it. Saying she didn't know detectives like him still existed. Also while solving cases, Heiji refers to corpses as stiffs.
At first, Heiji was rather negligent if a culprit killed themselves after being found out. During a case with Kudo where Kudo prevented a woman from committing suicide, Heiji said. "Maybe we shoulda let her die." In which Kudo responded "A detective who corners someone with logic, but lets them commit suicide...is no different from a murder." Since then, Heiji has followed this, and during another case where a culprit was going to shoot himself in the head, Heiji intervened and wound up taking a bullet to the abdomen because of it. Ultimately he will no longer allow the guilty kill themselves.
While not always applied, Heiji is excessively expressive. An extroverted soul if you will. He is often seen prompting others (or Kudo) to do things, instigating others, and lightly playing off somewhat serious manners. When in a good mood, he'll have a huge grin on his face (though not the same kind of grin he gets when he's solving/solved a case) and almost comes off a bouncy. This behavior only amplified when he's trying to sneak around the others to eagerly speak to Kudo. Of course this goes without saying, that no matter how intelligent he is. Heiji is only human and makes mistakes. He will sometimes (more like all the time) address "Conan" as Kudo. Ran will over hear this, and Heiji has to quickly cover his tracks so she doesn't find out.
One way to explain his overly expressive behavior is when he is annoyed. He calls a lot of the people around him "morons" or "idiots". Not just that, but he'll yell at them too. Heiji called his own mother an idiot. When Mouri and Ran went banging on his door during his nap he opened it to yell at them. Also when Ran and Kazuha, or even just Ran alone pester and nag him he'll scream at them about how annoying they are.
At first Heiji was snarky to Kudo and looking always trying to out preform him. Sometimes he still act in this way, but the more Heiji bonds with Kudo the closer they become. Now the west side detective will go out of his way to not only protect Kudo from harms way, but help him too. Such things include offering to help him out when converting between his original self and child self. Another when Kudo called him asking if he could get information on an individual named Eisuke. Heiji even likes to refer Kudo as his friend, rival or not. (Though they do act like friends.)
This trait also applies to Kazuha, a childhood friend of Heiji's. He is naturally overprotective of her and will do irrational things to see to it that she goes unharmed. When they were in a hanging off the cliff side by a branch Kazuha wanted Heiji to live on. In attempt to force him to let her go he stabbed his hand with an arrow, but he refused such action. Another during the time they both were held hostage in an attic. Heiji continually exasperate the female lawyer and so he was the only one physically harmed. (Heiji had placed such great faith in Kudo that Kudo would be the one to find and save them.)
Normally he would persistently deny that things such as curses, magic, and ghosts are fake. Some parts of this still hold true, however, he no longer blatantly denies the possibility like he use to. Rather he considers it with great doubt. It's a great alter in his character as this is one of his signature traits of being a detective and able to prove anything. Heiji was unable to prove some of his experiences, and most have become cold cases, although what he was unable to prove has forced him to accept it as reality to some extent.
Although he does make it a point to carry around a lucky charm that Kazuha made herself. While he doesn't take the charms seriously (as far as he's willing to admit), he is considerate enough to keep it around because Kazuha is a special person to him. He will sometimes blame the charms on his horrible luck as he is often injured during the cases he solves with Kudo. It got to the point where his mom went undercover to see if Mouri was fit enough to continue having her son around because his injuries escalated.
Heiji is painfully oblivious to the concept of love. He's not very good at understanding women either. The most he can unveil is one time in Okinawa with Kudo, the two were deducting bathing suits based on exterior composure and appearance of women. Anything deeper than that and he's lost. Kazuha will continually give him hints to her feelings for him, but he never catches on. It doesn't help that he is insisted on them being childhood friends, in fact almost like brother and sister. He even mistook a 'nervous almost confession' with because they're 'feeling hungry.' When in reality their feelings run deeper than that and more intimate. Heiji is also oblivious to his own feelings for her. There were some moments where he wanted to confess to her, but chicken out half way and changed the subject to something ridiculous in comparison.
One thing you'll notice about Heiji every time you see him, and I mean every time, is the fact that he wears a beige baseball cap with a dark visor. On it is the abbreviation "SAX". (Parody of SOX) Having said that, baseball is his favorite sport and he follows it actively. You will almost never see him without his cap. The cap is even used as an instrument. Like during cases, if he flips his hat forward, where the bill becomes in front and worn properly, it means he's close to solving a case.
Abilities/Powers:
Like Kudo, Heiji's intelligence is unmistakable. With or without Kudo's help, he can interpret clues, predict motives and reveal the culprit all in a days work. His level of observation surpasses that of an average human, and regardless of how complicated it is he can usually solve it. With this intelligence is clever thought process, is his ability to create clues or mock clues to further help him deduct what actually happened. He appears to have a large bank of trivial and factual knowledge; everywhere from rigor mortis or something as simple as an event in history.
Like his father, Heiji participates and enjoys the sport of kendo. He is exceptionally good at it and admired among his peers. Because of it, he has a lot of endurance and upper body strength despite looking lanky. Due to his constant practice of kendo, Heiji is also an athletic type and has a strong core balance. These talents allow him the upper hand when crossed with a criminal who might be armed or considerably bigger than he is.
Items/Weapons:
He will be arriving with nothing.

Sample Entry Two:
If Heiji wasn't mistaken, he would place that this was an entirely different place. What he was unable to understand was how he got from there to here without having any recollection of it. Furthermore, like Nautilus, he had no knowledge of the motives here.
"Damn it!" The teen expressed anger about the fact that so much was left undone before he arrived here. To add insult to injury, he had to start a whole new case while the other was left to potentially grow cold. He still didn't know the status of Osaka or the rest of Japan for that matter. Heiji didn't know Kudo's whereabouts or if he was even okay. Regardless of how much of a disadvantage he was in, the teen needed to pull through and get to the bottom of what actually was going on here. Standard snooping proved to be rather ineffective at his last location, but this one resembled nothing of the last. However, standard investigative procedures would at least allow him the process of elimination method.
He was wary of asking the residents here, but sometimes they were the best source of information. After a mild debate of whether or not he should approach things as usual or invent new methods, Heiji decided it would be best to go like he always did and invent along the way to adapt to this new place.
"Where would be th' best place ta begin?" The place likely to have the most stored information. Heiji was unaware that Haven lacked any documentation. His last mistake was starting with the surroundings first without gathering knowledge of the people here. He could narrow his search from there. The detective wondered if there was if there was a type of network he could access like the last place. The teen dug around for his cellphone, but in doing so only found a battered one instead of his own. This one was considerably beaten and lacked the charm that his had.
"Looks like I'm still in luck." But there was no text option. It was a red flag, but Heiji didn't have time to dig into that.
